"Had the most amazing time at the Sandul Villa"

My partner and myself decided last year we were going to tie the knot and we decided on Sri Lanka for the location. I checked the legal side of things and paper work before hand and was quite easy to do. I spoke to several venues but after speaking to Senaka at the Sandul Villa our minds were made up. We quickly booked the dates for the villa before we missed out and Senaka suggested a traditional Sri Lanka Poruwa ceremony then the English spoken registrar to do the vows in the perfect surroundings of the Villa with the drummers and Kandyan dancers then a 5 Min ride to the beach where he has an elephant waiting for your perfect photos then a horse drawn cart back to the villa and the guests in decorated tuk tuks and the drummers and Kandyan dancers lead you back to the villa to continue with the celebrations and an amazing 5 course dinner whilst amazing fireworks going off into the night followed by a disco. I trusted Senaka to arrange the full wedding for us and WOW Senaka and the team at the Sandul Villa made it all happen better than i could imagine and being at the Villa it was all done so personally and so much attention to detail it really was a moving experience and was really nice how our family were joined by Senakas family on the day. We arrived as guests and left as friends. We had the wedding in the second week as by law you need to be in Sri Lanka for a week before you can be married which suited us fine as we could adjust to the warm weather and had some amazing days out which Senaka arranges for you and good value too.The wedding was absolutely perfect and a day later we had the marriage certificate back as it needed to have an English translated copy which we then had to take to Colombo to be verified and stamped before we come home Senaka arranged a car to take us to Colombo and the driver stayed with us as the foreign and commonwealth office to help us get them stamped this is quite straight forward. We also had two Tuk Tuk drivers just a phone call away Nishantha And Sanjeewa these guys were amazing would take you anywhere and wait all night to bring us back we all became good friends with them. The villa is amazing nice big cool rooms all with air con the pool is amazing and cleaned twice a day. My brother in law and myself would be first down before breakfast just having a coffee and enjoying the peace and tranquillity of the garden or just a swim. We have had the most amazing time at the Sandul Villa so thank you Senaka and family and the team that made it a truly memorable time.
